Editor's Comments

Each month I write comments of appreciation to the many prayer partners this magazine has brought into my life.  From throughout the United States and many nations abroad your prayer requests are received and never ignored but taken to God's throne.  Never have I been more encouraged about this monthly online magazine.    Hundreds of newly established prayer closets are reported each month.  A goal of 10,000 is set for the year of 2006.  Please email us of your prayer closet.

This month's issue will focus on the great prayer warriors of past years.  Dr. Vander Warner, Jr. writes about his inner response to reading the biography of John Hyde.  Read in this issue "Men of Prayer Needed" by E. M. Bounds.  Robert Hall wrote "The prayer of faith is the only power in the universe to which Great Jehovah yields."  I strongly recommend to all sincere "would be" prayer warriors to study the lives of great men of prayer.

In this issue we continue to urge prayer for lost souls.  Lee E. Thomas writes, "The lost will not and indeed cannot be saved unless someone prays for them."  E. M. Bounds wrote, "God's great plan for the redemption of mankind is as much bound up to prayer for its prosperity and success as when the decree creating the movement was issued from the Father, bearing on its frontage the importance, universal and eternal condition, Ask of me, and I will give thee the brethren for thy inheritance and the uttermost part of the earth for thy possession."

May God edify us in the faith as we learn the greatness of prayer and the effectiveness of dedicated men to do it.

Matthew 6:6 - "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou hath shut the door, pray to the Father which is in secret, and thy Father, which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."

In the closet for you,

W. Clyde Martin
